Este linaje es originario del Rosellón, de donde pasó a Cataluña, fundando casa en la ciudad de Barcelona. Los señores de esta casa, así como sus ascendientes, lo fueron también de la villa y castillo de Joc, en Conflent, cerca de Perpiñán, y enlazaron con muy nobles familias catalanas. Varios de sus caballeros vistieron el hábito de la Orden de San Juan, en el Gran Priorato de Cataluña. Fueron también vizcondes de Joc. Francisco de P., natural de Conflent, vizconde de Joc y señor de la baronía de Rebollet y de su castillo, casó con doña Violante de Oms, hermana del célebre almirante don Berenguer de Oms. Crearon casa en Barcelona. Fueron padres de Antonio de P., natural de Barcelona, que contrajo matrimonio con doña María de Eril, de la misma naturaleza (hija de Juan de Eril y de doña Violante Beltrán y de Gélida, naturales de Barcelona), naciendo de esta unión: Pedro de P. y de Eril, que sigue. Violante, que casó con Francisco de Sarriera. Constanza, que contrajo matrimonio con Jesualdo de Requesens, con descendencia. Miguel, que falleció sin tomar estado, y Juan, que falleció siendo niño. Pedro de P. y de Eril, nació en la villa de Joc, siendo bautizado en la iglesia de su señorío en 1573. Fue vizconde de Joc, barón de Rebollet y caballero del hábito de Santiago, mediante las pruebas de nobleza que rindió en12 de julio de 1596. Casó con doña Dionisa Blán-Ribera, en primeras nupcias, y hay datos que le atribuyen un segundo matrimonio con doña Rafaela de Oms y de Agullana. ...
