Miniato propose l'ascrizione al ceto nobile di quella città dei fratelli avvocato Francesco Petri, commissario Regio di Arezzo, dottore Curzio Petri, Vicario Regio di Empoli, dottore Lodovico Petri, Vicario Regio di Rosignano, Giuseppe Petri, Cancelliere Comunitativo di S.Miniato, dottore Lucio Petri, Notaro Regio, e Sacerdote Pietro Petri, tutti figli del dottore Agostino Petri. Tale proposta del dottore Agostino fu accolta con rescritto Sovrano del 16 aprile 1841. Altro ramo. Originaria di Siena, fu ascritta alla cittadinanza fiorentina, con decreto 17 marz. 1654, ed alla nobiltà di San Miniato con altro rescritto 16 Apr. 1841 del Granduca di Toscana. Francesco prefetto del compartimento di Firenze, venne insignito del Granduca Leopoldo II della croce del merito di S. Giuseppe con decreto 28 Nov. 1852. Altro ramo.
