XIV, che però non ha niente in comune con quella omonima dei conti di Olgiate Olona, oggi estinta, la quale discendeva da un Bartolomeo, di Bernardo, abitante nel 1520 a Gera sul Lago di Como. Con decreto 3 agosto 1770 del Tribunale Araldico, Francesco, di Ferrante, il quale trovasi iscritto anche nell'Elenco delle Nobili Famiglie Patrizie Milanesi dell'anno 1769, ottenne che il suo stemma gentilizio fosse delineato nel Codice Araldico Lombardo.
