Nobility crown PrunetNoblesse chevaleresque, originaire de Prunet près Cayres et qui avait des liens de parenté très anciens avec les de Saint-Haon et les d'Agrain. Noble Etienne épousa Clémence de Vaissieu dite du Bets, dame de Liouret, Valenches, Reyriec, etc. près St-Bonnet-le-Château. Etienne, damoiseau, était seigneur des mêmes terres, en Velay et Forez (1367). Falcon, damoiseau, possédait fief de Vourse et des cens à Retournac dont il fit hommage en 1383. Pons Prunet, seigneur de Prunet, dit de Vaissieu et du Bets (à cause de sa mère Clémence du Bets veuve d'Etienne), rendit hommage au nom de celle-ci en 1380, pour les terres de Valenches, de Neyroles et du Tronchet, et, le 4 octobre 1404, à Bertrand de Cayres, seigneur d'Agrain, pour sa coseigneurie de Séjallières et de Montlong. Louis, écuyer du baron de Roche-en-Régnier (1434), épousa Guinette de Chanaleilles. Leur fille Marguerite s'allia avant 1457 à Louis de Bauzac coseigneur du dit lieu, qui hérita de tous les fiefs de la maison de Prunet et en reprit le nom et les armes. A cette seconde maison appartenaient: Blaisle fils des précedents; Gaspard seigneur de Prunet et du Bets (1480-1515); Jean seigneur des dits lieux, coseigneurs des Hubas (1500-1560), marié vers 1530, à Catherine de Tournon-La-Chaize; Marguerite, mariée le 5 novembre 1550 à Gaspard d'Agrain seigneur de Tournon laissèrent deux filles: I° Françoise dame du Bets, mariée le 10 mars 1560 à Antoine de Crémeaux; 2° Marie-Françoise, dame de Prunet, Séjallières, Mons etc. mariée à Louis de Goys, chevalier, seigneur de Fougerolles, qui en hérita. Une abbesse de St-Pierre des Chazes (1390). ...
