Dort auch die alliterierende Redensart "raumen und reuten" (gleich roden) und die entsprechenden Ortsname Raumreut und Raumstadt. Auch eine oberpfälzisch– fränkische Sippe Raumer weist aber die Entwicklung Raunmer: Reymmer : Raimmer : Ra(h)mer : Romer : Raumber auf. Nimmt man dazu die parallele Entwicklung des Ortsname Römershofen, also Reinmans–, Reimars–, Raumers–, Römershofen, so ist man genötigt, auch bei dieser Sippe Raumer an den Vorname Reimar, zu denken.
