Antica ed assai nobile famiglia veneziana, benchè oriunda da Feltre, al cui patriziato trovasi ascritta, la quale chiese anche alla Commissione araldica, istituita in seno al Governo, il 28 dicembre 1815, per l'esame ed eventuale riconoscimento dei titoli nobiliari di tutto l'ex-Stato Veneto, il riconoscimento del proprio titolo nobiliare, propagatasi, nel corso dei secoli, in diverse regioni d'Italia. Tra i personaggi che, maggiormente, resero lustro a tal famiglia, vi è certamente Marcantonio Regini, immesso nel canonicato di Padova, il 29 maggio 1511.
