Giovanni Battista Michelini, oriundo da Levaldiggi, e che fu medico, fu infeudato di San Martino con Rivalta (Cherasco) il 20 ottobre 1787, e investito con titolo comitale il 14 marzo 1788. Sposò Francesca Felletti di Villafaletto (1761), e da lui nacque Policarlo (n. Levaldiggi, 26 gennaio 1760, dec. Torino, 29 febbraio 1828), che fu investito il 24 marzo 1797. Dalle seconde nozze con Maria Caterina del conte Carlo Baldassarre Bonaudo di Mombello (1796), ebbe numerosa prole, e fra gli altri furono suoi figli: Giovanni Battista e Giuseppe Alessandro, dal quale ultimo trae origine una linea secondogenita che successe nel titolo comitale alla estinzione della linea primogenita.
