Di origine milanese, trapiantata in Verona nel XIII secolo ed aggregata a quel nobile Consiglio nel 1426. Bonifacio della Beverara fu uno dei ricchi signori che diedero a mutuo somme di danaro alla veronese università nel 1337. Questa casa à dato alla patria letterati e poeti, dotti giureconsulti, giudici di Collegio, cancellieri ecc. Un Gabriele, colonnello nella Veneta Repubblica, nel 1783 venne eletto da quel Senato direttore della linea di santità nel Quarnero in Istria. Fu confermata nella sua nobiltà con sovrana risoluzione 24 Nov. 1820.
Arme della famiglia: D'azzurro, alla sbarra d'oro, accostata in capo da tre stelle dello stesso, ed accompagnata in punta da un crescente d'argento, posto in sbarra.
Tali sono i principii, che da sopracitati Autori si diedero a questa famiglia, ma per esser questo fatto assai remoto, e d'historia molto lontana, lasciamo perciò a più eruditi delle sacre antichità, e dell'historie l'investigarne il suo certo principio. Quel che però di certo habbiamo, è che la casata per la loro antichità, e splendore, e per virtù militare, carrichi così laicali, come Ecclesiastici, e per ogno altro preggio di Cavalleria nobilissimi si scorgono, e crebbero un tempo in tanto numero, e furono sì magnifici, e generosi nelle fabbriche, e in edificar palaggi, e ville per loro habitatione in detta Città, che per ciò diedero il nome ad una intiera comarca, e strada detta fin hora della casata. ...
