Nobility crown RoissieuCette famille paraît être d'origine stéphanoise, elle apparaît du moins à Saint-Etienne avec une haute considération, dès commencement du XVIème siècle, en la personne de Marcellin, marié à Hélène de Monteille qui lui apporta le château de ce nom dont elle avait hérité d'Etienne de Monteille, son neveu, décédé sans postérité. Marcellin eut de son mariage avec Hélène de Monteille trois enfants: Jacques qui suit; Louise, mariée à Pierre de Saint-Priest-de Fontanez, fils d'Antoine, seigneur de Fontanez, et de Marguerite de Changi. Ladite Louise vendit, en 1578, avec son mari, différents fonds situés entre la Baraillière et Saint-Just-sur-Loire, à noble Claude de la Tour, seigneur du Play, branche cadette de la Tour-Varan; Marcellin dont l'article vient après. Jacques épousa Anne de la Bessée qui, étant veuve, épousa en secondes noces Jean Blachon, dont issu Jacques, seigneur de Nantas, en 1576. A cette date, Anne était morte. De Jacques et d'Anne de la Bessée naquit: Charles, seigneur de Thélin en 1576, était conseiller du roi en son conseil d'Etat et privé, en 1604, époque où Marcellin d'Allard lui dédie sa Gazette Française. On voit par cette dédicace que Charles était un homme d'Etat jouissant de la confiance de Henri IV. Il épousa Charlotte-Edeline du Troncay. ...
