Nobility crown SabatelliCette famille originaire de La Gorce est très ancienne ; elle est connue par filiation suivie depuis Jean Sabatier, notaire à Lagorce vivant en 1313. Des lettres de noblesse lui furent accordées par le roi Louis XVI en novembre 1780. Un certificat d'armoiries délivré par Antoine-Marie d'Hozier de Sérigny accompagne les lettres qui témoignent de quatorze degrés de filiation. M' Bernard était notaire à Thueyts en 1328. En 1350, parmi les valvasseurs de la maison de Chapdenac à Thueyts, figurait Jean,fils d'une de Goys. Noble Jean, damoiseau du bourg de Thueyts, paraît en un acte de 1388. Il avait pour femme Agnès Vigu, de la paroisse de Chamalière en Velay, laquelle était en 1406 héritière dudit Jean mort sans postérité. Paul Jean Baptiste Charles, syndic du pays de Vivarais, assista à l'assemblèe de la Noblesse réunie à Villeneuve de Berg pour la nomination des Etats généraux en 1789. Cette maison fournit un juge de la baronnie de Lagorce; un bailli de Lagorce, syndic des Etats du Vivarais, député de la province de Languedoc auprès du Roi, bailli d'épée et gouverneur du château, terre et comté de Saint-Remèze, anobli en 1780. Monsieur R. de Gigord dans la Noblesse de la Sénéchaussée de Villeneuve de Berg en 1789, donne une généalogie de cette famille actuellement représentée par les enfants de Monsieur René-Alexandre-Auguste, ingénieur des mines, qui fut sous lieutenant aux mobiles de l'Aveyron en 1870; ensuite capitaine au 117° régiment territorial; marié, le 28 septembre 1871, à Cotignac (Var), à Isabelle Marie Ernestine de Bérard du Roure, fille d'Alfred et de Maria de Templier. ...
