Por la semejanza del nombre y el punto en que radicó, parece una modalidad del linaje Sagarminaga. Iñigo de S. tuvo en su mujer doña Juana de Aulestia, a Pedro de S. y Aulesti, que casó con doña Domeca de Busturia y fueron padres de Juan de S. y Busturia, bautizado en la anteiglesia de Axpe de Busturia el 26 de Marzo de 1672, que contrajo matrimonio con doña Maria Cruz de Axpe de Busturia y procrearon a Juan S. y Axpe de Busturia, bautizado en la misma anteiglesia el 16 de Diciembre de 1710, que litigó por sí y en nombre de sus hijos, su hidalguía. Casó con doña Saturia de Horra, naciendo de esta unión: Juan, bautizado en Castrojeriz (Burgos), el 3 de Mayo de 1753, y Manuel de Segarbinaga y Horra, bautizado en Salamanca el 1° de Mayo de 1757.
