Una de sus ramas pasó a Portugal, en tiempos del Rey Don Juan IV, en la persona de Feliciano S. hijo de Roque S. y de su mujer María S. de Araújo, ambos de Galicia. Feliciano S. fue caballero de la Orden de Avis, gobernador de Setúbal, de Peniche y de la ciudad de Espíritu Santo de Bahía. Doña Antonia Margarita de Monteverde Brier y Salgado, era originaria y representante de la familia noble de S. que procedía de Guimaraes en Portugal. Contrajo nupcias en la Parroquia del Salvador, en Santa Cruz de La Palma, con Don Bartolomé de Campos y Castilla, Regidor Perpetuo de la isla de La Palma, Capitán de Milicias, Decano de su Ayuntamiento y Alcaide del castillo principal de Santa Catalina. El enlace tuvo lugar el 2 de octubre de 1701, y de él nació una sola hija: Doña Antonia María Ana de Campos S. sucesora en los Mayorazgos de esta línea, nacida el 7 de noviembre de 1702. Casó con Don Nicolás José Massieu Van Dalle y Monteverde, su primo. Descendiente de esta línea fue Don Juan Nepomuceno Massieu S. y Sotomayor, llamado generalmente Don Juan S., que nació el 28 de octubre de 1762, en La Palma, siendo Regidor Perpetuo de la Isla, Capitán de Artillería de sus Milicias por Real Despacho de 14 de julio de 1802 y Alguacil Mayor del Tribunal de la Inquisición. ...
