Dans le même Armorial, sous le nom de François, chanoine à Périgueux, le chien est dit: portant à la gueule une branche de sinople. Sur un couvert d'argent ayant appartenu à la famille, le chien est posé sur la branche même, laquelle se contourne au-dessus de sa tête. Le nom de Salleton figure dans les jugements des intendants de Bordeaux, portant maintenue de Noblesse (recherches de 1697 à 1718); il se voit également dans la liste des votants aux Etats-Généraux de 1789 (Ordre de la Noblesse), ainsi inscrit: "Messire de Salleton, capitaine commandant au régiment de Condé, chevalier de St-Louis." Dame Jacqueline de Salleton, veuve de Messire Pierre comte de la Roche-Aymon, fut représentée à l'életion des députés par Messire Alexis de Salleton, seigneur de Jameaux. Parmi les votants, se voit également Messire Paul-Stanislas, seigneur de St-Michel, capitaine commandant au régiment d'Aunis (infanterie), chevalier de St-Louis, habitant en son château de St-Michel, paroisse de Cantillac-en-Périgord. ...
