Famiglia nobile messinese del XVIII secolo. Placido Dott. in S. Teologia e valente orratore, pubblicò per le stampe alcuni suoi panegirici, e morì nel 1647. Altro Placido fu governatore della tavola pecuniaria di Messina della parte dei nobili nel 1774 e console nobile del mare nel 1765. Di questa famiglia non si hanno più notizie. Dice il Galluppi nelle sue opere: Stato presente della nobiltà messinese (1881), stampato in Milano dal Bernardoni nel 1881; Nobiliario della città di Messina, stampato in Napoli nel 1878; L'Armerista Italiano, stampato in Milano nel 1872, della quale riferisce il Galluppi di antica e chiara nobiltà.
