De los S. de Cataluña, probablemente originarios del lugar de Sarriá de Ter (cuyo nombre tomaran), perteneciente al partido judicial y provincia de Gerona, muy poco dicen los autores catalanes que hemos consultado. Algunos no los mencionan. Otros se concretan a describir los escudos de armas que usaron. Algunos S. catalanes, usaron las siguientes armas: En campo de gules, una venera de plata puesta en abismo. Estas armas figuran en un sello de Bernardo de S. que data del año 1267 y que se conserva en el Archivo Nacional de Madrid. Otros, en Cataluña, trajeron, según J. R. Vila: De gules, con tres veneras de plata puestas en triángulo. Otros, también catalanes: De gules, con cinco veneras de plata puestas en cruz. Así aparecen en un sello de otro Bernardo de S., que se conserva en el Archivo Capitular de Valencia y que data del año 1296. Y otros, en Cataluña igualmente: En campo de gules, siete veneras de plata puestas en tres palos; el del centro con tres veneras, y los laterales con dos en cada uno. Según Bernardo Mestre. El caballero Juan S., que pasó desde Jaca a la conquista de Valencia, mencionado por mosén Jaime Febrer, traía: Escudo partido: primero, de gules, con una faja jaquelada, de oro y sable, y segundo, de oro, con un árbol de sinople y un jabalí, de sable, atravesado al pie de su tronco. Estas mismas armas usaron, según Martín de Viciana, los S. valencianos descendientes del solar aragonés de la villa de Tauste (Zaragoza). ...
