E' questa una delle più illustri famiglie della Valle d'Aosta e derivata dai signori di Bard. Si suddivise nelle due linee dei signori di Introd e dei conti di La Tour di Saint Pierre. Stipite comune è Luigi, il quale dalle sue nozze con Antonietta di Ibleto di Challant ebbe per figlio Ibleto, da cui i signori di Introd ora estinti, e Giovanni, stipite dei conti di La Tour, feudo di cui fu creato conte il 4 giugno 1790 Luigi Francesco, di Giovanni Gasparre. Sposò (1760) costuì Maria Francesca Bioley e fu suo figlio Pietro Luigi (nato il 26 aprile 1762; deced. nel 1821), che fu tenente colonnello nel reggimento Alessandria. Dalle sue nozze (1797) con Emilia di Saluzzo ebbe Antonio Luigi, da cui nacquero: Maria Delfina (morta in Aosta il 6 ottobre 1895), Cristina Elisa e Cesarina Clotilde.
