Cette famille paraît être une branche des Servier de Nîmes qui ont formé les rameaux d'Uzès, du Vigan et Saint-Ambroix. M. A. Dunan, héritier de cette maison, habitant à Privas, a bien voulu nous communiquer un tableau dont le plus ancien personnage cité est Etienne Servier né vers 1522 à Viviers. Il fut consul du Bourg-Saint-Andéol en 1562, et avait épousé Françoise Salavert qui, devenue veuve, épousa Pierre de Reboul. Etienne Servier eut plusieurs enfants: 1° Andéol, docteur ès droits, lieutenant particulier au bailliage de Villeneuve-de-Berg, juge royal à Pierrelatte, juge des terres des évêques de Viviers. Il avait épousé Catherine Benoit, de Tournon, dont deux filles Françoise et Jeanne; cette dernière épousa Jean de Méridat, secrétaire de la Chambre du Roi, contrôleur des tailles en Dauphiné, commissaire ordinaire des guerres en 1605, famille tombée dans les Guignard de Saint-Priest. 2° Jean, marié à Isabeau de Moisard. 3° Marie, mariée à Claude de Fayn. 4° Pierre-Jacques, né en 1572, consul du Bourg-Saint-Andéol en 1617, avait épousé Isabeau Doize, le 12 janvier 1599, dont il eut huit enfants, tous décédés jeunes, sauf trois filles. Il se remaria, en 1615, à Jeanne de Fayn dont il eut quatorze enfants. Un seul fils continua la postérité et s'allia à Dauphine Bruyère. Ses descendants s'allièrent aux familles Carra, du Dauphiné, Madier et Reboul, du Bourg-Saint-Andéol, Roussel, de Bagnols, Bonnet des Arcis et Sauzet. L'héritière de la famille, Marie-Louise Servier, née le 18 janvier 1842, épousa, le 7 octobre 1862, Louis-André-Adolphe Dunan, dont entre autres: Félix-Etienne-André Dunan, né le 20 août 1868, avocat, docteur en droit, marié le 25 avril 1899, à demoiselle Josephe-Calixte-Marie-Amélie Vincent, d'Ouzève près Privas, fille de Henri-Alexandre Vincent et de Anne-Marie-Célie Charmant dont trois enfants. ...
