In Erbusco, terra di quella regione bresciana che è denominata Franciacorta, viveva nei primi anni del 1500 il notaro Antonio Metelli. Il di lui figlio Giovanni Pietro (n. 1518) pure notaro, pur conservando i possedimenti di Erbusco, che sono tuttora in famiglia, trasferì nel 1568 la propria residenza in Brescia (Parrocchia di S.
