Nobility crown SicardoEl origen de este ilustre apellido, por referencias de historiadores de la época y otras averiguadas por Araldis en los archivos registrales de ciudades y otros privados, podríamos afirmar, pero no asegurar, que este escudo u otro muy similar a él, apareció inicialmente desde el siglo XI al XIV, particularmente en los hechos de la conquista de Ibiza del 11 de Agosto de 1.114 y los de Mallorca a principios de 1.115 formando parte de los Cruzados compuestos por Pisanos, Catalanes y Provenzales, comandadas por Ramón Berenguer III. Las referencias de esta familia parecen precisarse con más frecuencia desde el siglo XV al XIX en especial los hechos de lepanto, acompañando las tropas catalanas de asalto y abordaje de D. Juan de Austria en los hechos de 1.571. Todo ello parece coincidir con la memoria familiar de algunos de los miembros de la rama de la familia Sicardo. Son sus armas: En plata, tres hojas de hiedra, de sinople, puesta en triángulo y acompañadas en el jefe de un lambel de gules, de tres pendiente. Bordura de azur con ocho flores de lis de oro. El estudio del escudo heráldico familiar nos "habla" de quienes formaron el origen de la familia S., pues esa era su función, la de manifestar a los demás sus elementos diferenciales, pues la inclusión del elemento flores está ligada al propio (rosas nombre de la familia y a su probable origen foráneo rosa) (inglés o alemán). Los esmaltes del arma de los S. pregonan los siguientes valores: la Plata corresponde al símbolo de la Luna, pureza, sinceridad, templanza, clemencia y amabilidad son las características espirituales de la familia, a las que hay que añadir otras como el afán de victoria y éxito y la elocuencia. ...
