Nobility crown SopranisLa famiglia Cibo de S. es originaria de la República genovesa, donde figuró entre sus nobles patricios, dando muchos varones insignes al Estado y Príncipes de la Iglesia. Felipe Cibo de S., poblador y Regidor Perpetuo de Gran Canaria, se estableció en Guia en los primeros años del siglo XVI. Casó dos veces: una en Génova y otra en Gran Canaria, con Doña Clara Inglés del Castillo, hija de Juan Inglés del Castillo, primer Mayorazgo de Telde y de Doña Isabel Gómez de Alcalá, su primera mujer y nieta del noble Conquistador Cristóbal García del Castillo, fundador de dicho Mayorazgo. Del primer matrimonio tuvo Felipe Cibo de S., dos hijos: el primero, Rafael Cibo de S., que sigue la línea en Canarias y del segundo, tuvo cinco. Rafael Cibo de S., inscrito en el Libro de Oro del patriciado genovés, como su padre y abuelo, casó en Las Palmas con Doña María Inglés del Castillo Jaraquemada, hermana de Doña Clara, su madratra, de cuyo matrimonio hubo siete hijos. Sigue la línea Felipe, el primogénito. Cino de S. enlazó con la Casa Manrique de Lara por el matrimonio de Don Francisco Manrique de Lara, primer representante de este apellido en Canarias, con Doña Isabel Cibo de S. Don Agustín de S. de la Hoya, probó su nobleza en la Real Orden de Santiago y Don Rafael S. y Gentile, en la Orden de San Juan de Jerusalén. Timbre: Coronal ducal.
