Da Treviso, al tempo delle guerre Eccelliniane, si trasferiscono a Chioggia insieme coi Nordigli, che come notano il Bonifazio (Libro V) ed il Mauro (de Tarvisonorum origine ecc. formavano la stessa famiglia. Dei Nordio, di Treviso parlano il Versi, il Bonifazio, l'Aumiro Foscariniano, lo Zuccato, il Federici, ecc. Qualche scrittore annovera fra i Nordio, Iacopo, che vescovo di Urbino, decano dei capitoli di Aquileia e di Cividale, segretario del Patriarca Domenico Grimani e con esso a Roma fino alla sua morte, poi adoperato per la sua dottrina ed esperienza in vari negozi politici da Clemente VII e da Paolo III e morì delegato a Perugia.
