Nobility crown TabaresLa familia T. desciende del antiguo Reino de Portugal, donde figuró entre la más alta nobleza. Remonta su filiación continuada hasta finales del siglo XII, en que floreció Don Pedro Viegas T., Ricohome y gran servidor del Rey Don Sancho I. Sus descendientes ocuparon los más elevados puestos en tal Monarquía y fueron Alcaides Mayores y Gobernadores de Portalegre, Azumar, Alegrete y Faro, Señores de Mira y Condes de Miranda. Alonso Hernández de T., oriundo de la isla de San Miguel en las Azores, pasó a Canarias estableciéndose en San Cristóbal de La Laguna, a poco de la Conquista. Contrajo matrimonio en 1512, con Doña Beatriz Gonzáles de Figueroa, viuda sin hijos de Hernando de T., pariente de Alonso, que fue conquistador de Tenerife y que heredó importantes repartimientos de tierras, especialmente en el Valle al que su apellido dió nombre y que hoy sigue conociéndose por el Valle de T. Tres hijos hubo de aquel enlace, siendo el primogénito, continuador de la línea. Se llamó Gonzalo Hernández de T., en memoria de su abuelo materno, Conquistador de Tenerife. Nació en 1513 en La Laguna, en cuya parroquia de los Remedios contrajo matrimonio con Doña Ana González, habiendo cuatro hijas de este enlace, las cuales fueron dotadas por su padre muy espléndidamente, casándose con notorios Hijodalgos de Tenerife. El primero de los hijos, fue Luis Hernández de T., que continuó la línea del apellido, siendo el cuarto señor del Valle de Tabares, quien también vivió en La Laguna. ...
