Nel 1505 un Tomaso vendette a Lorenzo Massa la scrivania del capitanato di Iglesias. Suo figlio Nicolò nel 1518, unitamente a Carlo Alagon, acquistò le signorie di Allai, Busachi, e Parte Barigadu dai Fabra; nel 1520 i due concordarono la divisione dell'acquisto e Nicolò tenne il Parte Barigadu susu; nel 1523 ottenne il riconoscimento della nobiltà e nel 1528 fu ammesso allo stamento militare durante il parlamento Villanova. Nel 1533 vendette a Pietro Mora la signoria della scrivania di Cagliari, i due però entrarono in rapporto d'affari e nel 1537 acquistarono dai Cardona l'incontrada di Canale e Sedilo.
