Nobility crown TraversFamille honorable d'Annonay dont un membre joua un rôle important pendant la grande révolution. Elle posséda les seigneuries de la Sagne et de Monteil. Le premier de ce nom que l'on trouve dans les registres paroissiaux d'Annonay est: Georges, marié à demoiselle Marie Sassolas dont Jean de la Saigne, baptisé à Annonay, le 7 septembre 1660. Jean-Pierre Traversier, conseiller du Roi et receveur des tailles du diocèse du Puy, vivait à la fin du XVIIème siècle, et habitait la paroisse de Monteils, non loin de La Mastre, Haut-Vivarais. Il épousa Marie de Boscs de Saignes , fille de noble Jacques de Bocs de Saignes et de Félicie d'Intres. D'eux nacquirent: ..... Traversier des Saignes, major au régiment de Foix-infanterie et chevalier de Saint-Louis, et Jean-Baptiste Traversier de Monteils, juge général du comté de Solignac, en 1705, et depuis de La Mastre et Macheville, de Retourtour et d'Emprunay, et épousa, le 9 février 1705, Jeanne Blachier et en eut: a) Louis, avocat en parlement, seigneur et résidant en son château de Monteils; b) Jérome Traversier de la Saigne, lieutenant-colonel au régiment de Foix infanterie et chevalier de Saint-Louis, marié le 1er avril 1767, à Marie-Thérèse-Antoinette Desfrançois. Henri-Jérome-Louis Traversier de Lassagne de Monteils, lieutenant-colonel d'infanterie et chevalier de Saint-Louis, marié à Jeanne-Elisabeth Lombard de Mars, née en 1786, au château de Mars, paroisse de Boulieu et morte le 16 juin 1864. Il eut de celle-ci: Anne qui épousa, le 7 septembre 1820, le sieur Alphonse-Suzanne du Peloux. ...
