Nobility crown TugiaCon diploma 17 luglio 1716 l'Imperatore Carlo VI concedeva a Giovanni Battista C. il titolo di marchese, cui si aggiunge il predicato d'uso di Sant'Orsola. A questa famiglia poi pervenne da Donna Giovanna Paliaccio Borro, moglie di don Gavino C., la quale era la più anziana delle sorelle di don Giovanni Antonio Paliaccio Borro (che, nel 1839, fece la transazione feudale e che ebbe il solo fratello don Gavino, che, al pari lui, morì improle) il titolo feudale di Marchese di San Carlo. I titoli di cavaliere e di nobile colla qualifica di don hanno remota origine e spettano alla stessa famiglia: basterà accennare che uno dei diretti fece le prove per essere nominato, come fu nominato, cavaliere di giustizia nell'Ordine dei S.S.
