Ancienne maison du Dauphiné dont l'origine remonterait au XIème siècle. Elle sort du village d'Eurre situé dans le canton de Crest. Pierre, fils d'Anne ou Aymar d'Urre, seigneur de Venterol, Teissières, etc. et de Gillette de Sytres-Caumont, fut évêque de Viviers de 1571 à 1572. Cette famille tenait aussi au Vivarais par noble Thierry d'Urre, seigneur de Portes qui, le 18 novembre 1543 était marié à Catherine de Corneilhan, dame de Burzet, héritière de sa maison. Thierry se qualifia, à cette époque, seigneur de Burzet. Cette seigneurie ne resta pas longtemps dans la famille, car Marie, fille unique de Thierry, porta les biens de sa maison à noble Jacques de Grolée, substitué à l' ancienne maison de Peyre, du Gévaudan, et qu'elle épousa, le 9 avril 1591. G. de Rivoire de La Bâtie donne une longue généalogie de cette maison. 1. Un cadet de la branche de Grane, Philibert, vint au XVIème siècle se fixer à Croze dans le voisinage de la ville de Tain en Dauphiné. 2. Son fils David eut de demoiselle Magdeleine Bouvier: 3. Noble Jacques d'Urre qui épousa, le 18 avril 1652, Magdeleine de Blanchelaine. 4. Henri, qui acheta Blanchelaine vendu par son beau-père et opéra de même, en 1696, le retrait de la terre de Chanelosc, en Vivarais aussi aliénée. Cette famille a depuis possédé jusqu'au XIXème siècle ces terres de Blanchelaine et de Chanelosc. La première passa alors au marquis d'Arces, par alliance; et la seconde fut, le 17 avril 1817, vendue par le comte d'Urre. ...
