Su biznieto Francisco de V., señor de Palumba, Giardinello y Chafú, en la isla de Sicilia fue creado barón de Vicari y de Godrano, el 28 de enero de 1338, por el rey de Sicilia Pedro II. Un sobrino del anterior, Simón de V., obtuvo de los reyes Martín I y María I de Sicilia, el 20 de enero de 1397, la baronía de Asaro, y el 6 de octubre de 1404 la baronía de Caropipi.
