Noble casa solar infanzona de caballeros hijosdalgo que radicó desde tiempo inmemorial en la anteiglesia de Berango de la antigua Merindad de Urribe, y que hoy pertenece al partido de Bilbao (Vizcaya). De dicha casa fué Pedro e V. que vivía en Berango a principios del siglo XVII y contrajo matrimonio con doña María Ochoa, a la que hizo madre de Diego de V. y Ochoa, que casó en Berango el 5 de Mayo de 1639 con doña Tersa de Ochandátegui (hija legitima de Juan de Ochandátegui y de doña María de Otaca). Otorgó testamento ante el Escribano Real Francisco de Sopelana el 7 de Octubre de 1637. Dejó este hijo Ignacio de V. y Ochandátegui que celebró su enalce con doña Catalina de Dobarán y Dobarán (hija legitima de Domingo de Dobarán y de doña María San Juan de Dobarán, naturals de Urdúliz, anteiglesia del mismo partido de Bilbao). De esta unión nació Pedro de V. y Dobarán bautizado en Bernago el 18 de Noviembre, de 1673. En posesión de su nobleza se encuentra en las actas originales de Santo Domingo de Bernago, como vecino concejante en 8 de Junio de 1728. Se unió en matrimonio con doña Mariana de Rementeria y Vidercurcio natural de Lejona, del partido de Bilbao (hija legitima de Martín de Rementeria y de doña Francisca de Videcurcio). Procrearon a Francisco de V. y Rementeria, bautizado en Berango el 6 de Mayo de 1706, y casado con doña María Juanes de Hormaeche, natural de Guecho, fallecida el 21 de Julio de 1779 (hija legitima de Felipe de H. y de doña María López de Arizubiaga). ...
