Famiglia sassarese le cui notizie risalgono al secolo XV. Avevano una posizione di rilievo nell'oligarchia sassarese e furono ammessi allo stamento militare nella seconda metà del secolo XV. Agli inizi del secolo XVI un Andrea fu ammesso allo stamento militare nel 1497 durante il parlamento Dusay. I suoi discendenti continuarono a partecipare ai parlamenti fino al 1643. Dai suoi figli discesero due rami della famiglia: da Antioco discese il ramo dei signori dell'incontrada di Oppia; egli infatti, acquistò il feudo nel 1547 dai Villamari; nel 1560 suo figlio Giovanni fu armato cavaliere; con la figlia di quest'ultimo il ramo si estinse e il feudo passò ai Manca Cedrelles per matrimonio. Il dottor Pietro, fratello di Antioco, formò l'altro ramo; egli fu armato cavaliere nel 1541 da Carlo V.
