Un antica famiglia fu in Pisa. Comparisce come uno degli anziani di quel comune Paulus a segnare l'atto di componimento e di pace che fu stipulato nel 1285 fu il suddetto Comune e gli Upezzinghi. Ne fu fede il Tronci nei suoi preziosi Annali (anno 1287). Ed il Masi pure ricorda la famiglia stessa, la quale nel 1356 fu tassata di fiorini cento per darsi colle tasse delle altre famiglie all'Imperatore Carlo IV che richiese al Comune ventimila fiorini d'oro per conservargli la libertà. E' da credere che questa famiglia nei tempi successivi trasportasse la sua sede a Livorno, d'onde nel secolo passato ritornò a Pisa. Un canonico Bonamico, fu assai stimato dai suoi concittadini per la dottrina allora non comune, e per la pietà. Morì nel 1836.
