Fu ricevuta nell'ordine di Malta sin dal 1592 con un Maurizio, valoroso nelle armi ed autore di varie commedie. Sono degni di ricordo fra gli altri: Angelo, famigliare di Alfonso I d'Aragona; Giovanni ambasciatore pel re Federico alla Corte di Ferdinando il Cattolico; Francesco Antonio, detto gesuita, rinomato oratore. Con Regio Decreto 14 luglio 1907 la famiglia venne riconosciuta nel titolo patrizio di Cosenza per m. e con rinnov. di quello baronale, per mpr.
