Herkunft des Familiennamens Iannotta, Herkunftsland: Italy

Adelsstand: Nobles - Lords
Heraldische Spur die Familie: Iannotta
Krone des Adels Iannotta Ancient and noble family from Isernia, of clear and ancestral virtue, that has worldwide spread, over the centuries. Ottaviano, living in 1478, was, for its value and faithfulness, very dear to King Ferdinand I. Similarly Francesco, his eldest son, to other Aragonese kings. Nicola, son of Francesco, was Lord of the Palata and was succeeded by Girolamo, his son, from which came another Ottaviano or Ottavio. He was very valiant in arms and, in the last years of Charles V, he exercised honourable assignments of the militia. The viceroy of Naples made him Colonel of Infantry and, with that status, in 1556 he led the campaign of Rome. In the church of San Francesco it is possible to admire the Crucifix that Ottavio Iannotta carried away with the weapons to a group of German soldiers who had stolen it from an Anagni church. Ottavio, after the war, donated it to... Fortsetzung folgtthe Convent of St. Francesco in Isernia. The episode is narrated with great detail by the Ciarlanti in the Historical Memories of Sannio. It was his wife Zenobia Mariconda, sister of Giulio Cesare, Bishop of Isernia. Other family. Noble family from Montignana (Padua), known as Giannotti, Giannotta or Iannotta. Antonio was created Bishop of Forlì in 1563 and moved to Urbino's seat in 1568; Luigi was a jurist and lived in Padua in the 16th century; Giacomo, militiaman of the Venetian army, distinguished himself in the battles against the Ottomans; Fr Giacomo, of the Order of Preachers, was provost of his order; Giovanni Battista, notary and councillor in Padua, flourished in 1742. Family names so old, without any doubt, honour not only the families but also the cities that welcomed them; seems to be, in fact, very worthy the living members of this family which, with much decorum, carry this noble surname, which has had several illustrious persons.
