Krone des Adels Valenzuela
Ancient and Noble Spanish family, of clear and ancestral virtue, that has worldwide spread, over the centuries. The clear nobility of the House is confirmed by its presence in the work of J.B. Rietstap (12 May 1828–24 December 1891), a dutch heraldist and genealogist, "The Armorial General", a monumental work that contains the blazons of the coats of arms of more than 130,000 European families and in the "Repertorio de blasones de la comunidad hispanica - letras S-T-U-V-W-X-Y-Z" by Vicente De Cadenas y Vicent Instituto Salazar y Castro. This family proved its nobility in the Orders of Santiago, Calatrava, Alcántara,... Fortsetzung folgt
Carlos III and San Juan de Jerusalén; but also in the Real Chancillería de Valladolid. Don Francisco de Valenzuela, Knight of of the Order of Calatrava, was "Corregidor" of Gran Canaria and in September of 1737 held the same charge in Tenerife and La Palma. Don Fernando de Valenzuela was created Marquis of Villasierra in 1677; Don Juan de Valenzuela Venegas, Count of Val del Aguila, in 1690, and Don Alonso Eduardo de Valenzuela, Marquis of the Puente de la Virgen, in 1761. A large branch of the family, in the wake of the Aragonese king, settled in the kingdom of Naples, where it also flourished nobly. In fact, this family, in all ages, always stood out, thanks to the prominent figures, which gave birth, in the public service, in the liberal professions and in the military service. Among these, without undervalue the omitted, we would like to mention: Juan, who distinguished himself, under the Aragon flag, in the war of Otranto, in 1481, against the Ottomans; Rodrigo, landowner in Naples, flourishing in 1503; Giuseppe, doctor in "utroque jure", flourishing in Naples, in 1519 Alessandro, jurist, living in Naples, in 1533; Benedetto, Royal Notary, living in Naples, in 1541; Gio. Batta, Royal Notary, living in Naples, in 1561; Filippo, Royal Notary, living in Naples, in 1578, D. Leone, canon, theologian and apostolic commissioner, living in Portugal, in 1604; Fr Luigi, of the Order of Minors Reformed, flourishing in Naples, in 1623; Francesco, jurist, living in Naples, in 1633; Giacomo, landowner in Northern France, flourishing in 1635; Bartolomeo, who served the King of Spain during the revolt of Masaniello, in 1647; Antonio Maria, doctor of Theology, flourishing in Naples, in 1671; Tommaso, notary, living in Naples, in 1719. Family names so old, without any doubt honour not only families but also the cities that welcomed them; seems to be, in fact, very worthy the living members of this family which, with much decorum, carry this noble surname, which has had several illustrious members.
