Antica ed illustre famiglia di Città di Castello (Umbria), diramata anche in Roma ed in Genzano di Roma (Lazio), di chiara ed avita virtù. Proprio in Città di Castello fiorì il celebre compositore e maestro di cappella Antonio Maria Abbatini (Città di Castello, 26 gennaio 1595 – Città di Castello, 1679).
