Nobility crown AbrioniLa nobilissima e vetusta stirpe degli Abrioni, o Albrioni, affonda le sue radici nei secoli più remoti, e sin dall’anno del Signore 1200 godette in Brà di onori, dignità e magistrature, segno chiaro della sua eminente condizione e del rispetto che le si tributava. Oddone, illustre antenato, fu annoverato tra gli arbitri eletti a definire i confini tra le terre di Brà e Sanfrè nell’anno 1284, mentre Niccolino, uomo di senno e prudenza, fu consigliere nel 1341. Andrea, nel 1380, anch’egli ricoprì tale carica, e Giorgio, che fu due volte sindaco, nel 1406 e nel 1409, si distinse per aver trattato con saggezza la spinosa questione dei confini fra Brà e Cherasco. Giovanni, figlio di Andrea, fu ascritto all’Ordine dei Vassalli prima del 1550, e ricevette il titolo di Signore di Sabecco, mentre Giovanni Giorgio, suo discendente, anch’egli incluso tra i vassalli, divenuto uomo di grande ricchezza e prestigio, fu investito nel 1728 del feudo di Rorà con titolo comitale, per la somma di tredicimila lire.
