Es solar de buenos marinos que, a mediados del siglo XVI, pasaron a poblar en Laburdi (Labourd), de Francia, de donde más tarde se trasladó el apellido a la alta Navarra (Baztán y Alduides). Apellido derivado dal nombre Aguirre es de origen vasco. Significa "lugar algo que domina un terreno", por lo que las familias que usan este nombre no tienen relación entre sí, ya que en el país vasco hubo muchas Casas con igual denominación.
