Um bisneto destes, Bernardo de Alpuim da Silva e Abreu, fidalgo da C. R., sr. da Torre de Pousada das Donas e padroado de igreja e abadia de Cambeses, Monção, c. em Calvelo, a 24.4.1735, com D. Maria-Caetana do Rego e Castro, sr.ª da casa de Merece (solar dos Regos) na mesma freg. de Calvelo, por onde vem a esta família a chefia do nome e armas dos Regos (6ª neta, por varonia, de António do Rego, em cuja descendência seguiu o vínculo de Merece, instituído por seu irmão Pedro do Rego, em 1489, e ambos filhos de João Roiz do Rego, sr. da quinta do Val da Cunha, no julgado de Neiva, e da casa de Merece, que D.
