Nobility crown AlbertinCe nom dérive du prénom Aubert, lui-même issu d'un nom de personne d'origine germanique Adalberth (de adal-, noble et de -berth, brillant, illustre). D'après Bachelin-Deflorenne, dans l'Etat présent de la noblesse française 1887, on connaît l'origine de cette illustre maison. Elle descend d'Honoré Albert, avocat à Mornas, petit ville du comtat Venaissin. Charles, son fils aîné, devint le favori de Louis XIII, fut fait duc de Luynes, pair, grand fauconnier, garde de sceaux et connétable de France. Toutefois, le preuves faites par le connétable lorsqu'il fut nommé chevalier des ordres du Roi, remontent à Thomas, viguier du Pont Saint-Esprit en 1416, qui a produit: Charles, connétable et grand fauconnier de France, décédé en 1621, marié dans la maison de Rohan; Honorè, frère du précédent, maréchal de France en 1620; Charles, gouverneur de Bretagne, dont le cœur fut déposé à Rennes en 1698; Louis-Auguste, maréchal de France en 1741, marié dans la maison de Beaumanoir, et un grand nombre d'autres personnages célèbres. A ce nom, on attribue un signe distinctif de noblesse représenté par le blason que l'on a reproduit ci-contre et qui confirme aussi à travers ses emblêmes, au point de vue historique et héraldique la certitude d'une valeur remarquable. Armes de cette famille: d'or au lion de gueules, armé, lampassé et couronné de même; alias: écartelé: 1 et 4 d'azur à 4 chaînes d'argent en sautoir; 2 et 3 d'or au lion de gueules couronné d'azur; sur le tout d'or au pal de gueules chargé de 3 chevrons d'argent. Titres nobiliaires de cette famille: anobli en 1415, ancienne extraction (famille dont la filiation noble prouvée atteint le XVème siècle), honneurs de la cour, duc de Luynes en 1619, duc de Chevreuse en 1668. ...
