Una casa muy principal de este linaje radicó en la villa de Castro Urdiales, de la provincia de Santander. De esa casa fué Juan A., vecino de Castro Urdiales, que casó con doña Felipa de la Linde, de la misma villa, y fueron padres de Antonio de A., bautizado en la parroquia de Santa María de Castro Urdiales el 13 de Febrero de 1667. Contrajo matrimonio en esta villa el 31 de Marzo de 1686 con doña María Laguno y Laguno, en la que procreó a Francisco Antonio de A., bautizado en Castro Urdiales el 15 de Octubre de 1696, el cual contrajo allí matrimonio el 25 de Junio de 1719 con doña Antonia de las Rivas Santos (hija de Santiago de las Rivas y de su mujer doña María Santos de Carranza), naciendo de esa unión Francisco Antonio de A., segundo del nombre, bautizado en Castro Urdiales el 27 de Junio de 1720, que casó en dicha villa el 12 de Agosto de 1742, con doña María Tomasa de Meaño y Ruiz, del a que tuvo a Juan Bautista de A., bautizado en Castro Urdiales el 4 de Enero de 1746. Este caballero pasó a Santiago de Chile y allí celebró capitulaciones matrimoniales el 1 de Abril de 1777, y ante Nicolás de Herrera, con doña Ana María de Ovalle, natural de Santiago de Chile, hija de Francisco de Ovalle y de su mujer doña Rosa de Gallardo; nieta paterna de Francisco de Ovalle y de su mujer doña Ana de Esparza; biznieta por línea paterna de Francisco de Ovalle (hijo de Tomás de Ovalle y de su mujer doña Isabel Zapata). ...
