Cette maison a produit six chevaliers de Malte depuis 1597, et sept conseillers au parlement, depuis 1611, deux maréchaux de camp en 1702 et 1788; un évêque de Dax en 1733 décédé en 1736; un évêque de Léon, puis de Châlons-sur-Saône, aumônier de la reine Marie Leczinska, et abbé d'Eu au diocèse de Rouen, en 1773, décédé en 1806; un abbé de Noyers au diocèse de Tours en 1785, puis évêque de Nantes en 1819, décédé en 1822; un pair de France en 1815, lieutenant-général en 1823, père d'un général de brigade, blessé devant Sédan en 1870. Deux membres admis aux honneurs de la Cour depuis 1771. A ce nom, on attribue un signe distinctif de noblesse représenté par le blason que l'on a reproduit ci-contre et qui confirme aussi à travers ses emblêmes, au point de vue historique et héraldique la certitude d'une valeur remarquable.
