La chiara nobiltà del casato è, inoltre, testimoniata dalla presenza, della sua blasonatura, nella pregevole opera di V. Spreti, "Enciclopedia storico-nobiliare italiana". I membri della famiglia, d'altronde, vennero riconosciuti cavalieri ereditari, dall'Imperatore Ferdinando I d'Austria, con il predicato "von Leidenthal", attraverso l’I.R. Diploma, datato 29 agosto 1840, in persona di Giuseppe, coi suoi legittimi discendenti d'ambo i sessi.
