Parmi les personnages dignes de mémoire qui ont contribué à l’histoire de cette famille nous trouvons: Noble Claude, juge de St-Agrève, vivait en 1607; Claude docteur ès-droits, bailli de St-Agrève en 1670; Jean en 1670; Ennemond, chevalier de St-Louis, en 1676. Jeanne épousa le 20 sept. 1729, Antoine de Brunel de Moze, avocat en parlement. Jeanne-MArie de Chaillans est dite héritière le 25 fév. 1777, de noble Antoine du Fraisse. Possessionnée en Velay au château de Chazournes près Aurec. En consultant des anciens documents on peut dire, sans risque de trop avancer, que cette famille représente une des plus anciennes et honorables de plusieurs régions françaises. On la retrouve à différentes époques, en diverses localités surtout en Champagne et en Bourgogne composant le département de l'Aube.
