Il Cronista y Decano Rey de Armas Don Vicente de Cadenas y Vicent, nel suo "Repertorio de blasones de la comunidad hispánica", ne riporta il blasone, segno dell’antica e riconosciuta nobiltà del casato. Secondo la tradizione genealogica, i Burian furono tra le famiglie che contribuirono alla grande impresa della Reconquista, distinguendosi per valore militare e fedeltà alla corona di Castiglia. Lo stemma dei Burian è descritto come "En plata, dos torres de su color, acompañadas de dos luneles en cada fianco". L'argento, metallo simbolo di lealtà e giustizia, esprime la purezza d’intenti e la fedeltà alla corona. Le due torri rappresentano la fermezza e la vigilanza, virtù che contraddistinsero la famiglia durante le guerre di Reconquista, quando la Spagna cristiana riconquistava i territori invasi dai Mori.
