I figli di costei assunsero dunque il medesimo cognome, perpetuandolo nelle generazioni successive. Da una lettera della regina Giovanna di Napoli indirizzata a Pietro Caccabo Altomare si evince che questi fu gentiluomo di rango presso la corte dei re di Napoli. Un Girolamo ottenne da re Alfonso, nell’anno 1462, la castellania di Patti, mentre un Bartolo fissò la sua dimora in Palermo, annoverando tra la sua prole un Alberto, vescovo di Lipari.
