Ancient and noble Italian House, born from the union, probably by marriage, of two nobles families, the Cacci and the Palle, of clear and ancestral virtue, that has worldwide spread, over the centuries. The Cacci family is a noble House from Padua, with branches also in Belluno, Milano, Bologna and Piacenza. Moreover, this family, in all ages, always stood out, thanks to the prominent figures, which gave birth, in the public service, in the liberal professions and in the military service. In the year 1148 we find a Giovanni, bishop of his homeland; Tommaso was mayor of Belluno in 1214; another Tommaso was head of the expedition of the papal army against Ecelino III; Galeazzo was college judge in 1275; Obizzo was Marquis of Mantua, Baron of Naples and Duke of Narni; Guglielmo was general of the Holy Alliance in Italy under Rinaldo from Ferrara.
