Ana-Cândida do Quental da Câmara Carvalhal Esmeraldo Freire de Calherios, filha do conselheiro Alexandre-Augusto Freire de Calheiros e mulher D. Maria-Vicência do Quental da Câmara Carvalhal Esmeraldo de Atouguia de Sá Machado. Foi seu filho José Mendes Veiga do Quental Calheiros, 2º conde da Covilhã (dec. de 7.11.1904), em verificação da 2ª vida, senhor da casa do Refúgio, figura de grande relevo industrial e social na Covilhã, f. a 26.4.1931. ...
