Maintenue dans sa noblesse en Auvergne le 14 janvrier 1667, sur preuves remontant à Pierre, écuyer, dont fait mention un acte du 1504. Charles, gentilhomme de la chambre du prince de Condé en 1603, est dit père d'autre Pierre, chevau-léger dans le régiment de la Mothe-Canillac (1637). Neuf chanoines-comtes de Brioude (1531-1645). Autre famille: Lieu d'origine de cette famille: Artois - Picardie. On la retrouve en différentes époques et en diverses localités. Il est certain cependant que jadis, dans la succession de faits historiques de petite ou grande envergure, la souche originaire ait pu donner lieu à de nombreuses branches fleuries dans diverses régions françaises.
