In data 22 dicembre 1648, infatti, i fratelli Giacomo Antonio, Bartolomeo e Giovanni Maria Carra ottennero di essere ascritti alla cittadinanza parmense; i fratelli Giulio, Sigismondo e Francesco, invece, con Privilegio 12 agosto 1695, del Duca Francesco Farnese, furono creati Nobili coi loro discendenti d'ambo i sessi (Privilegio registrato negli atti del Comune l'8 aprile 1700). Ma, d'altronde, tal casato, nel corso dei secoli, sempre riuscì a distinguersi, grazie agli elevati personaggi, a cui diede i natali.
