Le prime notizie relative a questa casata si hanno già nel secolo decimosettimo. Ed infatti il 22 dicembre 1648 i fratelli Giacomo Antonio, Bartolomeo e Giacomo Maria ottennero di essere ascritti alla cittadinanza parmense. Inoltre questa famiglia, nel dispiegarsi dei lustri, sempre è riuscita a produrre una serie di uomini che ne hanno reso illustre il nome, distinguendosi nei pubblici impieghi, nelle professioni liberali ed ecclesiastiche e nel servizio militare. Il 26 ottobre 1669 Cesare fu eletto commissario podestà delle Ferriere; un Felice, teologo ducale, nel 1700 era arciprete di Basilicanova.
