La famiglia Caspar, conosciuta anche con l’appellativo nobiliare di Edle von Caspar, è un casato di origini antichissime e di elevata nobiltà, le cui radici affondano profondamente nel fertile e prestigioso suolo della Baviera. La sua nobiltà è attestata e solennemente confermata dalla presenza del suo blasone all’interno dell’autorevole e rinomato registro araldico "Armorial Général", redatto dal celebre araldista J.B. Rietstap, opera che raccoglie le insegne delle più illustri casate d’Europa. Non si può tacere, inoltre, dell'esistenza di un altro ramo della famiglia Caspar, il cui nome trae origine dalla località omonima di Caspar, una piccola ma storicamente significativa frazione situata nei pressi della città di Boppard, lungo le maestose rive del Reno. A riprova della presenza di questa famiglia nella regione, si conserva un documento risalente all’anno 1724, nel quale si attesta un contratto stipulato tra le comunità di Karbach e Weiler. In esso si fa menzione di un certo "Johanß Casbahr", che ricopriva la carica di sindaco di Weiler, ed è citato con la sua dimora, denominata "Mirck", segno tangibile della sua rilevanza all’interno del tessuto sociale e amministrativo dell’epoca. Numerosi sono i personaggi che, nel corso dei secoli, hanno portato con onore il nome Caspar, lasciando traccia del loro operato in diversi ambiti. Tra questi si annovera "Johann Caspar", vissuto nell’anno 1441, che ricoprì la prestigiosa funzione di cappellano nella città di Sciaffusa. Nel 1513, troviamo menzione di "Sabellus Caspar", il quale fu coinvolto in questioni di giustizia criminale nella città di Schwäbisch Hall. Nel 1579, un altro esponente della famiglia, "Beat Caspar", si distinse nella città di Xanten come fervente promotore della diffusione del nome di battesimo "Kaspar", legato alla Riforma protestante. È altresì degno di nota il fatto che, nel corso dei secoli e a seconda delle regioni e delle influenze linguistiche locali, il cognome Caspar abbia subito alcune variazioni ortografiche, assumendo forme quali "Casbahr, Kaspar" o "Kasper". Tali mutamenti non fanno che testimoniare la diffusione e l’adattamento del nome attraverso le epoche e i territori, senza tuttavia intaccarne la nobile eredità e la solida appartenenza a un lignaggio di grande prestigio e antica tradizione. ...
